How this BIMI checker works
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is the DNS standard that lets your brand logo appear next to messages in Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail and other supporting mailbox providers. Enter your domain below to retrieve its default._bimi. TXT record and validate every component of the chain that has to be in place before any inbox will display the mark.
The checker confirms that DMARC is at p=quarantine or p=reject, which is a hard prerequisite, since BIMI is silently ignored at p=none. It also verifies that the l= tag points to a publicly accessible logo, and that the logo is a valid SVG Tiny Portable/Secure file with the correct profile, a square viewBox, and no scripts or external references. If you have a paid VMC (Verified Mark Certificate), or the newer free CMC from a Mark Verifying Authority, we inspect the a= tag and walk the certificate chain.
Each step shows the exact failure reason, so you can ship the fix without round-tripping through the BIMI working group's reference validator. For background on how the underlying TXT record is structured, see the BIMI DNS record reference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about BIMI and brand logo display in email.
What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) lets your company logo appear next to your emails in the inbox. It works by linking your logo to your domain's authentication (DMARC). When a recipient receives your mail, their email client checks for a BIMI record and displays your logo.
Do I need a VMC certificate?
A Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) proves that you have the legal right to use your logo. While some providers like Yahoo will show your logo without one, Gmail requires a VMC. To get a VMC, your logo must be a registered trademark, and you must purchase the certificate from an authorised provider like DigiCert or Entrust.
Which email providers support BIMI?
Support for BIMI is growing. Currently, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Apple Mail, and Fastmail all support it. Microsoft Outlook does not yet support BIMI logo display. For BIMI to work, your domain must also have a strong DMARC policy (either p=quarantine or p=reject).
How do I get my logo to display?
To set up BIMI, you need to: 1) Ensure your DMARC policy is set to quarantine or reject. 2) Create a specific SVG version of your logo (SVG Tiny PS). 3) Host the logo on a secure HTTPS link. 4) Add a BIMI TXT record to your DNS. If you want your logo to show up in Gmail, you'll also need to obtain and link a VMC certificate.
