ℹ️ About This Blocklist
The Spamhaus Domain Block List (DBL) lists domains that appear in spam messages. It checks the domain's reputation, not the sending IP. Used to block spam that originates from otherwise clean IPs.
What a Listing Means
Your domain has been associated with spam, either as the From domain, a URL found in spam messages, or a redirect target. The domain's reputation, not the sending server's IP, triggered the listing.
🔢 DNSBL Return Codes
When listed, the DNSBL returns one of these 127.x.x.x addresses. The specific code indicates the reason for the listing.
| Return IP | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 127.0.1.2 | Spam domain |
| 127.0.1.4 | Phishing domain |
| 127.0.1.5 | Malware domain |
| 127.0.1.6 | Botnet C&C domain |
| 127.0.1.102 | Abused legit spam domain |
| 127.0.1.103 | Abused legit phishing domain |
✅ How to Request Delisting
Check the DBL lookup to confirm the listing reason (spam domain, abused legit domain, phishing, etc.). Address the underlying issue (compromised site, hijacked domain, etc.) and submit a removal request.
